Physiotherapy and massage for Toronto firefighters

Partner clinic · Local 3888
Advanced Physio Plus has an agreement with the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association. Local 3888 members, and the people they live with, are treated at a reduced rate at our Mississauga clinic.
The job is hard on backs, shoulders, knees and necks — loaded carries, awkward lifts, stairs under weight, and long stretches of sitting in between. Most of what we see from this work starts small and gets worked around until it stops being small. A member rate is meant to take the cost question out of dealing with it early.
Who the rate covers
Active and retired members of Local 3888, their spouses and their dependants. Tell us you are with Local 3888 when you book — that is all we need.
What we treat most
- Lower back pain and sciatica
- Neck pain and the headaches that follow it
- Shoulder and rotator cuff injuries
- Knee pain
- Recovery after surgery
- Motor vehicle accident and other injury recovery
How it works
Four steps

Book, and say you are with Local 3888
Book online or call the clinic at 647-998-4727. Tell us you are a Local 3888 member, or the family member of one, and the member rate is applied for you. There is nothing to claim or submit beyond saying so.

Get assessed by a registered physiotherapist
Every new patient is assessed by Nikolay Zagrebailov, Registered Physiotherapist. He examines the injury and how you move, then writes the plan of care — what is being treated, what you will work on, and how it progresses. The assessment is at the member rate too.
Treatment at the member rate
One-hour physiotherapy sessions and one-hour massage therapy sessions at our Skymark clinic. Evening appointments on weeknights and hours on the weekend, so treatment fits around shifts.
We bill your plan directly
We direct bill GreenShield and most other extended health plans, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. The member rate is the fee we submit, which makes your annual maximum go further.
Rates, coverage and location
The Local 3888 rate
- Physiotherapy, 60 minutes — $84 per session
- Massage therapy, 60 minutes — $85 plus HST per session
- Your first visit — $84. The assessment with a registered physiotherapist is charged at the same member rate, not the standard assessment fee.
Offered exclusively to Local 3888 members and their family members. Massage therapy is HST-taxable in Ontario; physiotherapy is not.
Coverage and direct billing
We direct bill GreenShield and most other extended health plans, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. The member rate is the fee submitted to the insurer, so an annual maximum stretches further than it would at the standard fee. No physician referral is needed to book a physiotherapy assessment in Ontario, though some plans ask for one before reimbursing — worth checking yours.
Where to find us
2600 Skymark Avenue, Building 3, Unit 102, Mississauga — inside the Airport Corporate Centre, with free parking on site and transit at the Skymark hub.
Evening appointments on weeknights and hours on the weekend.

Yes. The assessment with a registered physiotherapist is $84, the same as every session after it. There is no higher first-visit fee.
Not to be assessed. Physiotherapy is a direct-access profession in Ontario, so you can book an assessment at any time. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they reimburse, so it is worth checking your own policy.
Yes, and that is the point. We submit the member rate to your plan, so the same annual maximum covers more sessions than it would at the standard fee. You pay only the portion your plan does not cover.
We have evening appointments on weeknights and hours on the weekend. Tell us your shift pattern when you book and we will find something that fits.
If there is an open WSIB claim, treatment is billed to WSIB rather than at the member rate. Bring your claim number and we will handle the paperwork.
