Katerina Ianovskaia runs the business side of Advanced Physio Plus. Operations, insurance, billing, hiring, compliance, technology and partnerships all sit with her — everything that has to work properly in the background so that the clinical team can concentrate on treating people.

A graduate of the Ivey Business School at Western University, Katerina brings more than two decades of experience in business ownership, finance and operations to a healthcare setting. She has built and led companies in international distribution, finance and professional services, and she has been an owner-operator in the wellness industry herself — she owned a yoga studio and taught yoga in Quebec for many years. She shapes how Advanced Physio Plus runs - as a serious business, and as a place where people come to heal.

Background

Katerina’s career began well outside healthcare. She has owned and directed an international distribution business, managing cross-border trade and import compliance across Canadian and US markets; served as Chief Financial Officer of a health and fitness venture she co-founded; and built a bookkeeping and financial advisory practice serving small business owners across the GTA West, with a particular focus on clinics, fitness studios, trades and service businesses. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor working toward her CPA designation.

Earlier in her career she owned a yoga studio and taught yoga in Quebec — running a small wellness business from the inside, from the teaching floor to the books. She knows what it takes to keep a practice like this one running well, and she has been on the other side of every operational problem the clinic encounters.

Corporate outreach and business development

Katerina leads the clinic’s work with organizations — employer wellness programs, insurer and referral relationships, and facility partnerships that place physiotherapy services where people already are. She built the clinic’s corporate wellness offering for employers in the Airport Corporate Centre area, and she negotiates and structures the collaborations that extend Advanced Physio Plus beyond its Skymark Avenue location.

Languages

Katerina works in English, Russian and French, allowing the clinic to serve a genuinely multilingual patient base — including the substantial Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking community across Mississauga and the west GTA — in the language people are most comfortable in.

Outside the clinic, Katerina has practised Ashtanga yoga for over twenty years, along with pranayama and breathwork. She travels and camps whenever she can, and she is happiest when she is learning something new.
